Learn more at <a href="https://www.jnj.com/medtech" target="_blank">https://www.jnj.com/medtech</a></p><p></p><p><b><span>Responsibilities:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Design, development, and test software per medical device software development life cycle (IEC-62304)</span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Management of small to mid-size projects of varying complexities</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, and systems engineering to deliver integrated solutions.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Work with internal and external partner resources to develop and release software in a timely manner per SOPs</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Drive continuous improvement in embedded software processes, tools, SOPs and define best practices</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, collaborate to resolve issues and implement corrective action</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Contribute to project planning, timeline and resource estimation, and risk management activities.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span>Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.</span></p></li></ul><p><b><span>Qualifications:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>M.S. in computer science, math, or an engineering field or equivalent work experience; Ph.D. preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span>6+ years of experience writing memory and run-time efficient code in C/C++ on an embedded platform (micro-controller, microprocessor).</span></p></li><li><p><span>2+ years of experience in developing multi-threaded applications on real-time operating systems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Good understanding of FDA 524B cybersecurity guidelines.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Comfortable with system-level troubleshooting using EE and software tools.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of QNX would be a big plus.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Working knowledge of cardiovascular physiology would be a big PLUS.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Willing to travel 5% of the time to meet with customers to assess product performance in the field and gather user needs</span></p></li><li><p><span>Highly collaborative with excellent communication and analytical skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Self-motivated and willing to learn and explore new technologies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Independent, efficient, and able to manage competing priorities.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401k).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year. Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year. Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year. Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
