Job Description
Senior HRIS Analyst

Sinclair is seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst with deep Oracle Fusion Payroll expertise to support and evolve our HR and payroll technology landscape. This role is hands-on, highly visible, and critical to ensuring accurate, compliant, and scalable payroll operations across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings strong functional payroll knowledge, solid technical skills within Oracle HCM Cloud, and the ability to partner effectively with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Fusion Payroll Ownership

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion Payroll, including payroll processing, balances, costing, taxes, garnishments, payment methods, and integrations
  • Support end-to-end payroll cycles, including pre-payroll validation, post-payroll reconciliation, audits, and issue resolution
  • Diagnose and resolve payroll calculation, retro pay, costing, and integration issues in partnership with Finance and third-party vendors
  • Configure payroll elements, balances, fast formulas, eligibility profiles, and related payroll objects

HRIS Configuration & Support

  • Configure and support Oracle HCM Cloud modules closely aligned to payroll, including Core HR, Time and Labor, and Absence
  • Build and maintain system configurations to support acquisitions, organizational changes, quarterly updates, and new feature adoption
  • Develop and maintain process flows, data flows, and documentation for current and future-state solutions
  • Support security configuration and role-based access as needed
     

Reporting, Data & Integrations

  • Design and support payroll and HR reporting using OTBI and BI Publisher
  • Troubleshoot and support inbound and outbound integrations related to payroll and HR data
  • Utilize HDL/HSDL to load, maintain, and correct employee and payroll-related data

Testing, Releases & Change Management

  • Lead and execute system testing efforts, including unit testing, regression testing, and support of user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Coordinate and support Oracle quarterly release testing, including impact analysis and validation of payroll-related changes
  • Support change management and promotion of configurations across environments with appropriate documentation and approvals

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as a trusted partner to Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT teams, translating business requirements into scalable system solutions
  • Serve as a liaison between functional stakeholders and technical resources, including managed service providers and Oracle support
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 or more years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience, with at least 3 years focused on Oracle Fusion Payroll
  • Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting Oracle Fusion Payroll
  • Experience supporting payroll integrations with Finance, banks, and third-party vendors
  • Proficiency with OTBI and BI Publisher for payroll and HR reporting
  • Experience supporting system testing, releases, and production issues in a SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile or hybrid methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll implementation or postgo-live stabilization experience
  • Strong understanding of payroll balances, costing, and Core HR table relationships
  • Experience with Fast Formulas, HDL/HSDL, and Experience Design Studio
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion security, flexfields, and eligibility profiles
  • SQL experience for advanced reporting and data analysis
  • Oracle HCM certification(s)
  • Experience supporting complex payroll environments (multi-state, union, or acquisition-heavy organizations)

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 $140,000 annually. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
