It's now time of celebrating as London:
BIG BEN TURNS 150 YEARS OLD
Most all the world has seen Big Ben whether by a London's trip or by photographics escapes and the most ever handy news and internet media. However, one has most likely seen Big Ben we also find that the large tower clock is having its 150 years birthday. The birthday celebration was held May 31, 2012 with a huge crowd of site-seekers and London's citizens. The large tick-tocker is located at the north-eastern endo f the Palace of Westminister in London. Big Big is also the world's largest 4-faced chiming clock. The tower clock has no elevator and those allowed in will have to climb up 334 limestone stairs. Big Big was designed by Charles Barry and officially opened on May 31, 1859 after a fire destroyed the old Palace of Westminister in October 1834. That's been 150 years of chiming in London. The crowd loved wishing Big Ben many more years to stand and keep up with the time.

THE DIAMOND JUBILEEE
Britian has another reason for celebrating as the four-day spectacular of the Queen Majesty marks 60 years as Britian's monarch. The 4 day weekend has plans of parades, civic honors, recieving medals and a host of endless festivities. The queen took the throne on February 06, 1952 but her official carnation was held on June 02, 1953.
